The Yamaha C3 grand piano was released in the early 1970’s as a prototype, and was officially put in production for North America in 1979. Most people that know the Yamaha C3 associate it with quality and value. Prior to the release of the Kawai RX2, and other mid-range performance grand pianos that C3 was the best choice for a private studio or institution looking for a high quality sound and action, good tuning stability, and a powerful sound for under $30,000. Before the Yamaha C3 grand piano was released you basically needed to spend 50K plus on a Steinway & Sons, Mason & Hamlin, Schimmel, or C.Bechstein to achieve this level of performance. Also at the time few manufactures had the technology and experince with the North American climate to properly cure and prepare the wooden frames and action parts.

This Yamaha C3 grand piano that we have in stock was originally built in the 1980’s in Japan, and has all original parts including the hammers, strings and tuning pins. This piano is being offered with a 10 year warranty, delivery, and the first free tuning in your home. The Yamaha C3 grand piano has a pristine reputation for stability and although this piano is used one, it would still rival the performance of a new instrument.
